Patterson family collection.

This collection consists of materials relating to the Patterson family, many items relating to William J. Evans. The collection includes various letters dating from July 1, 1827-Nov.5, 1895. The letters cover various topics such as a letter of condolence, soldier's bounties, Civil war pensions, as well as personal matters. Letters are to or from Abraham, Catherine, Hannah, and P.E. Patterson, William J. Evans, Daniel Woodin, Dr. John Bacon, Esther Williams, C.H. Moulton, Josiah Alger, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Monfoort, Phebe Patterson, and U. Adelaide Smith. The collection also includes materials dating from May 23, 1969-Nov. 27, 1909 including a receipt for a monument from Barbour Moore; a circular on soldier's bounty; an application for pension; an officers certificate of disability; a declaration for original invalid pension; a medicine envelope; and i.o.u. for John Rust; and newspaper articles on North Baptist Church in Flint, Mich.
